Health Benefit of Plogging

Physically Healthy

As a sport, Plogging could enhance the resistance of disease, including the disease correlated with obesity. Plogging could also help on maintain the health of blood vessels and enhance the cardiopulmonary function.

Besides, due to plogging is including the action of pick up the rubbish, plogging could burn more calories than normal jogging, in order to easier to control the weight and keep the body shape nicely.

Mentally Healthy

While doing plogging, Endorphins, Dopamine and Serotonin will be produced by human body. These substances could help to mitigate the mood of anxiety and stress also makes humans feel happy, which could lower the risk of anxiety disorder, depression disorder and chronic fatigue.

Besides, plogging provided the opportunities for social interaction and developing the social network around plogging activities. Facilitating the communication between family, friends, people with common interest and even strangers, which could reduce the loneliness and related mental health risk factors. In addition, participants produce Oxytocin from plogging activity could increase the trust and communication ability between participants, which could also reduce the mental health risk factors from loneliness, by enhancement of the quality and provide extra opportunities of social interaction.
